Le premier CD des Langues Fourchues paru en 2002 présente d'ores et déjà ce groupe comme l'un des plus intéressants de la nouvelle génération. Actuel dans son approche, ce groupe de jeunes est pourtant fortement lié à ses riches traditions locales à travers leur famille et leurs amis. Cet attachement et ce respect pour leur patrimoine mêlé à leur fougue et leur plaisir évident de partager cette musique, le tout doublé d'une réelle complicité, voilà une recette infaillible!
The first CD from the Langues Fourchues came out in 2002 and has shown this band to be one of the most interesting of the new generation. With their modern approach, this group of young musicians are still strongly linked to their rich local traditions through their friends and families. Their attachment and respect for their roots mixed with their passion and obvious pleasure of playing and sharing this music is a recipe for success!

On ne peut que saluer la qualité de leurs recherches et leur curiosité pour leur patrimoine présenté avec goût, talent et virtuosité musicale. Dans la lignée des groupes actuels, ils nous proposent une vision bien personnelle de leur héritage et l'écoute en est un délice!

True to themsleves and with the same passion and undeniable energy, this recording proves that traditional music can always be reinvented by these creative young artists. But where on earth do the Langues Fourchues find all these rare and unusual song versions? They are to be commended for the quality of their research and their curiosity for their oral tradition presented with taste, talent and musical virtuosity. On the Québec folk music scene today, they propose a very personal vision of their heritage. Listening to this recording is simply delightful!
